Boltaron® Thermoplastics for Medical Applications

SIMONA Boltaron has several grades of high performance thermoplastics for medical devices, diagnostic equipment, cabinetry and furniture. We can help you specify the right material grade depending on your flammability, chemical resistance, aesthetic and processing requirements.

Our leading material utilized in medical device applications is Boltaron® 4335. This formulation combines high impact and structural strength, chemical resistance, and multiple UL and ASTM flammability ratings to meet the requirements of diverse formed and fabricated applications.

Cleaning Boltaron® Thermoplastics

Boltaron materials can be cleaned using most hospital grade cleaners and disinfectants recommended by the EPA and CDC. Be sure to always remove all cleaning product residue from the surface with water and a dry cloth.

Antibacterial, Antimicrobial and Antiviral Solutions

Most thermoplastic materials have inherent properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface. For more advanced antibacterial or antimicrobial performance, additives and engineering solutions are possible.
