Open Exhibitions Includes Boltaron 4065 MP for its Playstation Exhibition Console Demo and Microchip Exhibition
Open Exhibitions, one of the UK’s leading exhibition agencies, has designed and built booths as well as exhibition assets for PlayStation and Microchip Technology for many years. Most of the assets built by Open Exhibitions are in continuous operation.
Wood core substrates that are membrane pressed or flat laminated with Boltaron® 4065MP sheet look new even after years of impacts, abrasion, harsh cleansers and the
general abuse of commercial and institutional environments. Our sheet was demonstrated and subsequently adopted by Open Exhibition as a surfacing material for exhibition and display furniture.
Initial Situation
Open Exhibitions was introduced to SIMONA Boltaron after requesting an alternative to laminate and thin foil surfacing materials. Following successful trials, Boltaron became the go to material for high traffic, re-useable exhibition and display furniture.
Task
Open Exhibitions required durability and robustness in transit and handling in multiple installations to minimize maintenance and repair. They also requested color matching, cleanability cleanability, FR, regular availability, flat lamination and membrane pressed parts as well as UL94 V-0 Flammability – UL classification.
Solution
Open Exhibitions (UK) tested samples of Boltaron® 4065MP and found it easy to work with and that it performed well. As a result, SIMONA Boltaron was chosen as the preferred source for their booth building needs and Crystal Doors was selected to press the membrane pressed panels for Open Exhibitions.
